I came across this poem a little while ago:
One of my favorite things in the world is casual intimacy. a small hand on your back when you’re in crowded streets. A gentle kick from where they’re sitting across the table. A head on the shoulder, a hand in your hand, a squeeze on the arm as they’re walking past you. & I think maybe love isn’t made up of grand gestures or explosive displays but that it’s made up of the little things. The little things that say I’m here & I care for you & that your life has intertwined so deeply into mine that there’s no need to think, because casual intimacy comes easy.

Those tiny moments of love that say “I’m here”. That’s why I love photographing couples so much. It’s not the big, flashy moments; it’s those tiny expressions of love that mean the most.
When I met Willow & Gage for their photo session in the park, I knew I wanted to capture those small, meaningful moments between them.
Before we even started, I asked them some questions to understand their dynamics as a couple & capture their love more genuinely. They love watching movies, trying new foods, & just being together having fun.
As the sun began to set, we set up a picnic in the park. I could see their love in every little gesture. We set the scene with playful prompts & captured each little moment as it happened.
Willow and Gage were so kind and easy to work with. They trusted my vision & I’m so grateful for that. The photos we captured feel like scenes from a movie, full of love & emotion. Looking at them, you can’t help but feel like you’re right there with them, experiencing those moments all over again.
