When I go to weddings, I love to find the couples who've been married the longest and ask them, "What's your secret?" Sometimes they say something silly like "Yes, dear!" But most of the time, they say the key to a happy marriage is marrying your best friend.
From my very first call with Sarah & Trey, I could tell — they were best friends and 100% smitten with each other.
Two months before their wedding, we met up to take some engagement photos in downtown OKC. We started by chatting at Peret’s Coffee & Desert bar before walking around Myriad Gardens. The fall colors were stunning, and we even stopped to ride the carousel.
Sarah & Trey’s wedding took place on a snowy winter day in January. Snow that sticks is rare in Oklahoma, but on the morning of their wedding, a blizzard swept through OKC, creating the perfect winter backdrop. They had their ceremony at the new white chapel at the Springs Event Venue in Edmond, OK.
It was an honor to see these two start their new life together. They really love each other, as well as their family and friends. The day was full of laughter and emotions.
